I am Brother Robert;
I run the local school for boys.
Education is very important, and we teach our pupils to read, write and add up. We also make sure that they know how to behave and read the bible every day. No girls go to the school as it not thought necessary to educate girls.
It is mainly the children of better off parents who come to school as poorer parents must get their children working at a young age. Our school was in Merstow Green, where you can still see the stone carved doorway. The school went on to be Prince Henry’s School, which now has over a thousand pupils.
